A little about me
I believe having a balanced life is the best way to be happy. Mind and body should live in harmony, guided by fitness and freedom to explore the world. I am a technology enthusiast always trying to improve myself, and enhance the life of my family and friends.
A brief background
I have received my Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo in 2015. My Ph.D research was conducted at the Centre for Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (CPAMI) under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Kamel, where I researched on kernel-based semi-supervised temporal clustering. My research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision. I have received my M.A.Sc. from the Center of Informatics at Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil in 2006, and my B.Sc. in Computer Science from Catholic University of Pernambuco, Brazil, in 2000.
